Health & Wellbeing

We are proud to have a dedicated and highly experienced School Nurse, Mrs Laura Danby, who brings a wealth of knowledge from working across a variety of healthcare settings.

Health Hub

Our Health Hub is a welcoming and well-equipped space featuring a treatment room and a restful bedroom, providing a quiet place for pupils who are feeling unwell during the school day. Pupils can stay here until they are collected by parents or, for boarders, until they are well enough to return to the boarding house.

If a boarder is unwell, they are cared for in the boarding house by the on-duty House parent, all of whom are fully trained in first aid, in close consultation with the School Nurse.

Mrs Danby plays an active role in health education and health promotion across the school community. She provides first aid for minor injuries and care for common childhood illnesses. For pupils with temporary or long-term medical conditions, we ensure their health and support needs are fully met through individual care planning and staff training.

Emotional health and wellbeing are central to our school ethos. Our Health Hub offers a warm, friendly, and supportive environment where pupils can find a safe space if they need emotional support. We work closely with parents and, when needed, collaborate with external agencies to provide additional help.
