The week gave pupils the opportunity to explore the world of robotics through practical activities that encouraged creativity, teamwork and problem-solving.

Working in teams, the young innovators designed, built, tested and refined their own robotic creations, navigating challenges and adapting their ideas along the way. The project encouraged pupils to think critically, communicate effectively and apply their learning in a practical, real-world context.

Throughout this immersive project, the beginning of the Compass Curriculum, pupils demonstrated curiosity, resilience and teamwork as they brought their robotic designs to life. From initial concepts through to testing and improvements, every stage required imagination, perseverance and a willingness to learn, especially as challenges got increasingly more difficult.

The Compass Curriculum is a two year programme for senior pupils in Prep schools in the Radley Schools Group. Built around the key principles of Navigation, Engagement, Striving and Wonder, the programme enriches education provision for every child, elevates Year 7 and 8, and prepares children to move forward with confidence, capability and purpose.

This first project marks the beginning of an exciting journey, with pupils continuing to explore new ideas and further develop their skills through a series of Compass Curriculum modules throughout the year ahead, including residentials, projects and more immersive experiences.
