Hours & Funding

Both The Nest (2 year olds) and Treetops (3 year olds) are open 50 weeks per year, from 7.30am-6.00pm weekdays.

The Nest and Treetops will be closed for 2 weeks per year, including the week between Christmas and New Year. You will be notified of the Christmas closure dates in advance.

At Mowden Hall, 15 hours of early years entitlement per week can be claimed (for up to 38 weeks per year in Nursery and 33 weeks for Reception children) from the Local Education Authority (Northumberland County Council) on a termly basis.

Children are entitled to receive early years entitlement from the age of 2 until they are 5 years old. Further information on Early Years Funding can be found on the Northumberland County Council website and on the Childcare Choices website.
