We know that choosing a school for your child’s academic and personal development is a huge decision, as well as major financial investment, and we are here to your Mowden journey as personal and easy as possible.
I am always on hand to answer any questions, guide you through the entry process, and arrange personal visits to the school. Your child is welcome to join Mowden Hall from the age of two, and admissions are open throughout the year.

We believe that there is no better way to experience the magic of Mowden than to come and visit us in person. We invite you to come and walk through our grounds and experience the enthusiasm of our children, the talent and commitment of our staff, and the energetic atmosphere of the school.
You can attend one of our Open Events and / or come for an individual tour and meeting with the Head and key members of the team.
Following a visit to Mowden Hall, registration is the first formal stage of the admissions process. Please complete and return a Registration Form, together with a non-refundable Registration Fee of £100 (for Nursery) and £120 (inclusive of VAT for Reception-Year 6) via BACS.
Registration does not guarantee your child a place at Mowden. It ensures that your child’s name is added to the relevant list for the specific year group and year or entry. Early registration is encouraged as there may be a waiting list for certain entry points. Registered children are place on a waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis.
Register
We invite all children to take part in a Taster Day so that they can join their year group, meet teachers and pupils, and get an idea of what life at Mowden is like. This allows you and us to ensure that your child will thrive in our setting.
The children will be informally assessed to help us to understand their learning profile and our ability to support them. A Taster Day is normally offered the term before a child joins our school.
On completion of a successful Taster Day, places are then offered at the discretion of the Head. We will also write to your child’s current school for a confidential reference before we are able to confirm your place.
Once a place is offered, completion of the Acceptance Form and payment (£1,000) of the Acceptance Fee will ensure a place is reserved for your child. The Acceptance Fee is refundable after your child has left the school, subject to any outstanding fees.
